High-Performance 80gsm Semi-Gloss Paper – PET Liner Edition Our 80gsm Semi-Gloss Paper is a premium, machine-coated white paper designed for high-quality multi-color printing. It offers the perfect balance of a smooth, semi-reflective finish and excellent ink absorption, making it a “standard” for retail and food labeling.
What sets this construction apart is the 30-micron PET clear liner. Unlike traditional paper liners, the PET backing is exceptionally strong and perfectly smooth. This ensures the Food-Safe Acrylic Adhesive remains completely flat, preventing “air trapping” and ensuring a smooth, consistent bond. It is the ideal choice for high-speed automated bottling lines where web breaks are not an option.
Face Stock: 80gsm premium semi-gloss, clay-coated paper.
Adhesive: Food-grade permanent acrylic (FDA/ISEGA compliant).
Liner: 30-micron high-tensile PET (Polyester).
Efficiency: Optimized for maximum speed and zero-tear dispensing.
The “PET Liner” Advantage for Paper Labels
Eliminate Web Breaks: PET is significantly stronger than glassine paper. Even at maximum dispensing speeds or under high tension, the liner will not snap, reducing machine downtime.
Flatter Adhesive Profile: The glass-smooth surface of the PET liner prevents the adhesive from developing a “textured” surface, leading to better label contact and fewer bubbles on the container.
Dust-Free Production: PET liners do not shed fibers like paper liners do. This makes this material perfect for cleanroom environments or food-grade facilities where hygiene is paramount.
Thin-Gauge Efficiency: At only 30 microns, the liner is thinner than standard 58gsm glassine, allowing you to fit more labels per roll and reduce roll-change frequency.
Primary Market Applications
Dry Food Labeling: Ideal for jars of pasta sauce, spices, and baked goods.
Retail & Supermarket: High-volume labels for weigh-scale products, pantry staples, and canned goods.
Logistics & Warehousing: High-speed shipping labels that require a durable, non-snap liner during application.
Pharmaceuticals: Box seals and prescription labels where precision and cleanliness are required.
